John Mueller is a puritanical and repressed religious fundamentalist and agent for the Bureau of Prohibition and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In the midst of trying to bring down kingpin Nucky Johnson he succumbed to corruption and has become an outlaw on the run himself. During an FBI raid on his house, John was gunned down by FBI agent and former partner Bruce Vanden.
